Frequently Asked Questions

Along with some other helpful knowledge.

What are the signs of a slab leak?

Common signs of a slab leak include unexplained increases in your water bill, the sound of running water when fixtures are off, warm or damp spots on the floor, cracks in the foundation, and mold or mildew odors near the floor level.

Slab leaks can cause serious structural damage if left unaddressed. If you notice any of these warning signs, contact Above + Beyond for professional leak detection that pinpoints the problem without unnecessary demolition.

How much does slab leak repair cost?

Slab leak repair costs vary significantly based on the repair method, pipe accessibility, and extent of damage. Options range from spot repairs to pipe rerouting or epoxy lining. Above + Beyond provides transparent pricing after a thorough assessment.

We offer flexible financing to help homeowners manage slab leak repair costs. Our technicians recommend the most cost-effective solution for your specific situation and provide upfront pricing before any work begins.

How does Above + Beyond detect slab leaks?

Above + Beyond uses acoustic listening equipment, electronic leak detection, thermal imaging, and pressure testing to locate slab leaks with precision. These non-invasive methods allow us to pinpoint the exact location without jackhammering your foundation.

Precise detection means targeted repairs that minimize disruption to your home. Our advanced equipment and experienced technicians can find leaks that other companies miss, saving you time and money on unnecessary exploration.

Does homeowner's insurance cover slab leak repair?

Many homeowner's insurance policies cover damage caused by slab leaks, though they may not cover the cost of accessing and repairing the pipe itself. Coverage varies by policy, so we recommend reviewing your policy or contacting your agent.

Above + Beyond provides detailed documentation including photos, diagrams, and written reports to support insurance claims. Our team has experience working with insurance companies and can help ensure your claim process goes smoothly.

What is pipe rerouting for a slab leak?

Pipe rerouting involves abandoning the damaged pipe under the slab and running a new line through the walls, attic, or along the exterior of your home. This approach avoids the need to break through the concrete foundation.

Rerouting is often the most practical and cost-effective solution for slab leaks, especially when the existing pipes are old or have multiple failure points. Above + Beyond evaluates your home's layout to determine the best rerouting path.

Can a slab leak damage my home's foundation?

Yes, slab leaks can cause significant foundation damage over time. Constant water saturation beneath the slab causes soil erosion and shifting, which leads to foundation cracks, uneven floors, and structural instability.

Early detection and repair of slab leaks is critical to preventing foundation damage. Above + Beyond offers prompt slab leak detection and repair services to protect your home's structural integrity and your investment.

“Matt, our technician came out, addressed the problem and completed the work to our satisfaction. He left things as he found them.”

-Lucian D.

I had a busted pipe somewhere on my property that was leaking 850 gallons of water an hour😢. Arren arrived within an hour of my call and immediately identified the problem. It was such a blessing to meet him and he carries himself with a profound sense of peace and calmness. What started as a stressful situation for me was resolved quickly, efficiently, and thoroughly. In addition, I was only charged the service fee of $109. I was dumbfounded and expected it to be much more. I highly recommend Above + Beyond and will request Arren again, should another problem arise. Stella was definitely impressed 🙌🩷

Chance, Felix, Cody, Jalyn and LEE saved my life with hot water. Emergencies are never fun but these guys made this potentially crappy situation tolerable. Plus, I’ll be having a hot bath tonight. Thanks!!!

Above + Beyond went Above + Beyond! We have had so many issues trying to get a new sink. We thought the sink we bought fit and it DID NOT. I was very annoyed/overwhelmed/pregnant and they went and found me a sink that fit that was exactly what we were looking for! Chance and Preston brought it over and got it installed quickly. They were very nice and did more than we expected to make sure we got exactly what we wanted! 100/10 recommend. We will be using them for all of our plumbing needs from here on out!

- Kylee Stallings

Robert did an excellent job reviewing our home's annual plumbing maintenance needs (our first since purchasing the home). The inspection was thorough and professional, including the annual water heater flushing. The inspection found a few areas of wear in the 15-year-old fixtures, most of which we were already aware of, and all consistent with a previous rental home in Oklahoma. Robert explained the options, including doing nothing at this time. However, since the cost of the repairs was reasonable and a worthwhile investment for peace of mind, we chose to stay on top of things and go ahead with the minor repairs. We're very happy with Robert and Above + Beyond Plumbing.

I had to call them in as reinforcements when my DIY job turned into something much bigger. Every tech that came out was so nice, professional, and thorough. The did a terrific job and I wouldn’t hesitate to call them out again for any future job.

- Brandi Vermillion

Robert was awesome! He arrived on time, used proper inspection equipment to check the pipes, and clearly explained the results. I really appreciate his honesty and transparency about the cost. Very professional and easy to work with.

Above + Beyond were great from start to finish. Starting with Ashley who was happy to help. She listened asked great questions, and provided opinions (Not up selling points). She went above and beyond. I called a little after 8am and Lee (Tech Plumber) was at my door before 10am! What can I say Lee was like the brother in law you love! He was VERY attentive present in the moment from start to finish. in addition to educating me on my plumbing issue he walked me through the root cause and provided opinions (Not selling points) he was thorough in making sure I had resolution before wrapping things up and he made himself available for questions. I hope but I believe this is the company’s core value to go above and beyond. They exceeded my expectations as they went above and beyond for me. Oh yes Great price!!!😉
